Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ARUSHA – CITY EXPLORATION

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your guide will transfer you to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s safari circuit. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore Arusha’s markets, coffee plantations, or cultural centers before settling in for the night.

DAY 2: TRANSFER TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK – GAME DRIVE

After breakfast, drive 2 hours to Tarangire National Park, home to massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and cheetahs. Tarangire is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 550 bird species.

DAY 3: TRANSFER TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK – GAME DRIVE

After breakfast, take a 2-hour drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and large flocks of pink flamingos. Enjoy a game drive, spotting elephants, baboons, hippos, giraffes, and a variety of birdlife in the park’s lush forests and scenic lake shorelines.

DAY 4: TRANSFER TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – AFTERNOON GAME DRIVE

DAY 5: FULL-DAY SAFARI IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

DAY 6: SERENGETI – TRANSFER TO NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

After breakfast, take a morning game drive in Serengeti, spotting predators hunting at sunrise. Then, depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a 4-hour scenic drive, stopping at Maasai villages along the way. Check into your budget lodge near the crater rim, enjoying breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater.

DAY 7: NGORONGORO CRATER SAFARI – FLIGHT TO ZANZIBAR

Wake up early for a game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater, home to lions, elephants, rhinos, hippos, and flamingos. This volcanic caldera offers one of the best chances to see the Big Five in a single day. After a picnic lunch by the crater lake, transfer to Arusha Airport for your afternoon flight to Zanzibar.
